Pops and light classical
"SATURDAY IN THE PARK", I think it was...
These words from the group Chicago's song could have drifted over Amelia Park on May 14th. The Jacksonville Five Brass Quintet played to a delightful group gathered in the Park. Sitting in lawn chairs, enjoying a beautiful outdoor setting one could have easily agreed with more of the Chicago song's lyrics: "People reaching, people touching, a real celebration." It was a lovely venue and a wonderful way to spend a Saturday in the Park! Playing a wide range of selections, the Quintet gave the outdoor audience a most relaxing concert. We enjoyed not only the sounds of the brass, but the gorgeous, exquisite weather. Chamber Music can take place in many venues and take on many sizes, shapes and forms but when it plays in the Park...it truly is "a real celebration."
